November cried
And I walked her cold tears
Trying not to stumble on twisted roots
Or slick jumbled stone
As I followed the path beside the Blue
Where it begins just below the slab on county road Y

And I wished for lightening

To break open the grey with a flash of heat
Close enough to make my hair stand on end
And to tingle slightly warm
As ghost fire danced on her skin
Blue… like her name

But this time of year
      It rarely thunders
Just cold drizzled speck of cloud
And the wind

I pulled the old Journal then
Unwrapping the oilskin and turning stained leather
Watching ink run
As she wept her grief of lost leaf
of coming frost

And wrote:
“ What I found braided in the water of this river
comes from places far from where I stand
yet each drop passing me by began someplace other than here.”

“My words and my life will never capture how deep she is in me
nor how it is, the places she began, and runs to still are not mine”

“It is only this moment, which lasts as long as she allows me
purchase on her banks or to float on her skin that I exist”

I paused then and looked around
Wondering if the trees were whispering their sad laughter
Of bare limbs
and slow rub of trunk
                      at what I felt

And wrote
“ I wonder if she knows the depths of my love”

as one large drop
made ink
     dissapear

Oh she knows Captain...yes she knows.
What a remarkable talent you possess.
I do hope one day to see you publish each
series you have gifted us with here at Passions.

Now while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again.

silence falls around me and all is heard is the sharp breath and an oh....yes....

yeah, so I will say it again...
you ARE the master...

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

I can safely admit
this could only come
from you...and
not I.

The river runs thru your muse and your pen rides the current... Im grateful to sit on the banks and watch your depths swirl past.

...wow. Beautiful beyond comprehension. I gotta save this one. Great, great work.
