Goodbye is just a word
expunged by a need
and the need is there
when motion in the style of
two in one combined
refuses to remain
in my unconscious brain.

In motion and combined
I yet search for solid lines
to bar the crossing over
because love, I don’t know
am I in you, you in me,
or have I merely slipped
into the body of your bride?

The other side of real;
how strange and unexplained
is the need to combine
two bodies on the ground
in the motion of
those in air who love.

Combined then separated
in motion and then still
but bit by bit my heart ascends
till I remain yours faithfully
forever in the air!

Helen, I broke my "fast" tonight for the first time in awhile to take a peak at just a couple of poems.  (I'm fine....not to worry; and will be back in force at some point but not yet.)  This poem is so real and full of feeling, as all of yours are.  Just a word...right.   .....jo
