we held hands under the side sky
with lean too clouds
and flickered moon

you gave me your skin
said it was warm on the inside
and that I could know it

if I took the time
with the fasteners
that were not all visible

you put your hands there
over my ears
and looked into my eyes

you whispered secrets
that I couldn't hear
and told me you loved me

with everything except them

and a very nice way to love someone, without the secrets....a new start, how invigorating, fresh and alive

Substitutions can lend some interesting travels.  Great write and that last line impacts dead center target.

Sometimes secrets are not really secrets at all, but confidances to be kept -

Love is the gift of soul - of the heart - but each of us has a dark corner where the secrets hide, meant to be unnoticed -

Lots of food for thought here - D

Sometimes the lips say one thing...the eyes yet another.
Love this one Dark!

Now while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again.

Perhaps you couldn't hear them, but could see them in her eyes.

Wonderful writing Mr D
