The train has no brakes,
the driver’s asleep,
and the passenger, me, avows
the next bend or corner
will see me leap out
and roll, roll out my life
like a fireman puts out a fire.

But all trains on the track
speed on to gateways
and the scenery passes too fast
for fool, mystic, sage, or prophet,
to know the right time to leave
the vehicle of life and carrier
of individual flames.

Yea though I burn and suffer the pain
no fire is worth putting out
for at the center of all
I’m forced to endure
is the sizzle, snap, crack,
of laughter and mirth.

Yea though I think the choice is mine
whether to jump, suffer or smile,
I do not know what lies up ahead
and so I hold on, kindle my fire,
and call on the power of love
to slow down the train
and give me, you, them,
a chance to know where we’re going …

but the train goes clickety-clack,
clickety-clack along the tracks!

Helen

Here, take my hand...we'll ride together.  That power of love that you possess will get you through the ride...I know it!

Is there room for me on the same train..?
For I have the same feelins at times..
Okay..we'll all climb aboard with you!
Hugs dear one, Nancy

Now while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again.
