Moved from a shack to a barn

0 posted 2004-11-08 10:12 PM

Erato teases
Hovering near enough to feel the heat
Radiating
Through the sheerness of her gown

Even as she whispers her imagery
Leaving it to wander aimlessly
In my consciousness

She slips the key to her puzzles
Into her bodice

Leaving my vocabulary gasping at the light
And grasping at the source

With her cheek against my chest
She’ll remind me
That this is merely sleepwalking

Holding my protest behind my lips
With the fingers of one hand
The other startles and sparks recollections

Viewed through cobweb and frosted glass
Veracity, is lost along with the details

And at that, the glances she gifts me
Are always in the half-light or night

The long light of dusk painting her orange
Or, tangled sheets and pale beauty
Washed blue in the dawn

She’ll show me only, the light in her eyes
And the tenuous shape of her hip in the dark

But never speaks of what would come after
Nor hints at what might lie ahead

ok.... so every time I read something you offer...I ge the urge to hop a plane and sit a while.. have a couple of cold ones and see, if what I read into the words is really there.. ( chuckling).. though I know it is...
I think it is the thought of looking it in the eyes that compells me...

well done sir... well done indeed...

.....dang!!!
This is beautiful!..and yes, captivating!

Now while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again.
