state of confusion

In Closing

For months, clouds went missing.
Sky pined for them, for a time
before Sun’s cruelty
sent Fire’s dirty tongue
to lick green from hillsides.

Fire left only ashes and Devil’s eau de toilette --
gifts laid at Sky’s painted feet.

Sky thought she’d explode into song,
when seasons gave way
to cleansing,

but now that Rain has come, Sky questions
the darkness of day
and oppressive blanketing
of gray

as if Dawn refuses to rise.
Sky senses a silent grief

like a tree knows
when to die.

but now that Rain has come,
she questions the darkness of day
and oppressive weight
of gray.

Like the final Dawn,
she intrinsically senses
silent grief,
Love the way you write ma'am....

It has been too long since I've read you...

this had such a mystical wisdom quality to it--shamanic.

Very much enjoyed, C.

Oh My!

This reads like a very old tale...

I just dropped in to find this beautifully worded piece.  Echoes from above--"More, please!"

Thank you all very much! Something in the air feels like mourning.
