Listening to every heart

All Things Well and Good

This is the time of bitter sharp warm,
Where tinge clash of ice
Against face and hands
Strike, chilling one’s body with
Flecks of burning heat

Killing off all that would take over,
Striking down weeds of doubt,
Killing vines that wind
O’er one’s heart,
Pulling everything back to
Beginnings

Ice sings in crystal sharp breezes,
Huddling takes over, one alone or
Together, hunkering down against onslaughts
That dulls minds to a torpor for moments
Or spaces,
As various ways of survival come forth…

Only those that face the burning ice know
Deep within, whether or not
Summer cool breezes will sing again…

Only those
Who believe in tomorrow
And in their reasons to seek the heat of ice
To kill the devil inside
All things that would overtake them.

Rebirth is imminent
Of all things
Well, and good.

~*~

For two who need reminding
That they are NOT alone.

Thank you for this Karilea..
Your words are so comforting and reassuring.
Yes...rebirth.
Hugs~

Now while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again.

beautiful weaving, Sunshine! the photo is exquisite, too. It looks like it could have been taken just seven miles north of here.

Really enjoyed reading this one, the nippiness and the warmth!

Ahhhh, the hope of tomorrow. We will hunker down for a long winter's sleep and be reborn and refreshed come the warmth of spring.

I loved this ... your writing brings me warmth.

hugs and smiles, Marti

A good reminder, my friend, of the passages of life.
