indulgeo

words lie heavy on my shoulders
alone upon rickety cloth
and rave the tragic wants
that break my skin

there is no end

to this dream which trembles
beneath my nails
splitting them

i touch it sad
and think how beautiful it would be

in its climax

into this night i wonder, it's morning that i dread, another day of knowing of, the path i fear to tread.

When those nails split
and the quick
is touched

the pain goes deeper
than one would
ever want.

Excellent read, my dear.

Maree

Words have felt a little heavy on my shoulders of late, too....although of a different kind.  You are not alone though, my friend, and your poetry speaks the words for you.

I am thinking not half as beautiful as the soul with the dream.  Create it, live it, breath it.  Wonderful reading you always.
