I heard the clouds
dragging their hems
on the pale blue sky

long dresses on ladies
with stormy intentions
and nothing under

but future rivers
if the mountains they loved
were willing to hold them

for just a few hours

Short on words but
long on metaphor...

you've got to love a poet
like that!

Excellent imagery, DS

good stuff!  I especially like:

if the mountains were willing to hold them...

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

mountains peaking
rivers flowing
short skirts and the breeze blowing
me with my hands strapped across your engines

makes for my kind of ride
