Searching for some Zen,

I stare at belly button.

Zen not where I thought.

Umbilical cord to soul.

Who would have dreamed it was there?

All the time I pray to Buddha
I keep on
killing mosquitoes.

Yes who would have looked for it there at the source of all life? Good smooth Tanka, it made me think.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

searching for my Zen
in seeking enlightenment
it's not where I thought
umbilical cord to soul
who would have dreamed it was there

no wonder i thought this seemed familiar

thanks for enquiring. life's fine and i'm well--just that i don't have a lot of online time these days, due to my military commitments (S'pore is a conscripted army btw)

but i'm still writing, albeit infrequently

wonderful....maybe we should then think the opposite of what we do...a little more possive and believing?  yes!

Enjoyed!

Thanks to all, for sitting a moment.

And to you, sweet kaile, giving you hugs and wishing you a safe journey through this phase of life. Write when you can.
