a voice from the musicbox

0 posted 2004-11-06 01:02 PM

run away from all of this
escape is nearly enough
the time has come for all good men
to come to the aid of their country
a laugh from my lips of stone
resist the fearful winter
and he writes his songs
from an empty place
beautiful but weak
[he knows nothing of me]

and last night i was told
of the weight of my words
on worlds that have yet
to feel so much
and i was told of the love
i can't bear to sing aloud
and how even when others
do the singing for me
i shine.

[i never wanted to shine]
i have always wanted
to be just like someone else.
and that is why my words
hurt and heal you as well.
they were written from your heart
through my shaky hand.

for i have always wanted
to be just like you.

in the end it's not just you with your memories and your scars, fall on me if you ever forget how beautiful you are.

You know, you truly live up to where you are from, "a voice from a musicbox", for the words have such intense meaning but are offered on a cloud.  Really enjoyed this one.

Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing.

Very intense write. Isn't it strange that the ordinary envy the gifted and the extraordinary just want to be normal?

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Rachael~
How artfully you sing~

'last night i was told
of the weight of my words
on worlds that have yet
to feel so much
and i was told of the love
i can't bear to sing aloud'

This is just melodically lovely~

Now how did I miss this!... more please

into this night i wonder, it's morning that i dread, another day of knowing of, the path i fear to tread.
