Turn you on your side
hold you gently
let all that is impure leak
  and fade
turn you back and breathe
and push upon your chest
until nine eleven arrives

but no; its not that simple
recovery will never come
because someone fed you more
than booze

And amazing grace plays
while your children weep
and I hold my sister's hand

you're moving on

and the newspapers say my name
but it is ours shared
and your children weep
and my relatives call
to make sure it wasn't me

but I don't drink
and I don't smoke
and for the life of me I wished you didn't too

I don't want to say goodbye

Not like this
  not like this

Not a simple write,
nor a simple life...
what a piece of real...

absolutely beautiful...and pain worth loving

in the end it's not just you with your memories and your scars, fall on me if you ever forget how beautiful you are.

Thanks Froggy

nope, not simple.  It should have been simple though - turn her on her side to recovery position so she wouldn't choke
