in the deep of the night
i lie in the veil of darkness
enfolded in subtle contemplation
of the soft of you
when your words kiss
as velvet petal rose
or gauze drapes stirring

you stir me
as the soft flutter of butterfly wings
brushing across the fragile of me
tender touch love
in satin wrap fabric

it is then
in the stilled quiet
when soul is bare to spirit whispers
my heart weeps
in silent cascade of love
for the soft of you
