I tossed the numbers to and fro

Until

my thoughts did heave and ho,
still I know

they do not compute

But

what the heck
who gives a hoot

Until

the sky begins to fall
upon our epitaphs

the ones we self-bled upon the wall
we all created to separate
ourselves from love,
while embracing hate

But

perhaps the dawn will yet arrive
and humanity may discover

its will to survive.

Until

then

I shall continue to pen
thoughts such as these.

LOL, thanks Lee and Donna. Too bad I have to leave now and go out to the barn, and play alone in the hay!

I bet you do, Captain.  You know something about lofty writes, too. And I know a bit about silos.
OK, I'll behave, have to go run errands, make hay while the sun shines. LOL
