            day 239
            the day after

            It was a nice day

            I insist

            Autumn rich rays
            flooded through
            bare canopies
            burning away
            all of their cold lies
                 then washed them
                 from my feet

it was really really cold here, too

Time to go read some more Zen stuff, light some incense, listen to some flute music,
maybe cry myself to sleep.
Then remember,it was just an election.
Ya, right.

Excellent ...though sad...this poem is..
The lies will leave a scum on the feet of unborn generations...unfortunately a little over half of the voters did not realize or ignored the dirt that will now linger in the atmosphere for four more years..

unfortunately the flaw in human nature is, we tend to need to defend our own, even when wrong...children defend abusive parents, wives and husbands defend abusive relationships...even dysfunctional relationships...and it is to, human nature to defend the lies of our parties.

When people begin to finally wake up and realize, it's not about the parties and decide it's time to register independent, people then will be more apt to hold accountable unacceptable behavior and stop defending it.

The decission has been made, no use crying over spilled milk, and hopefully there was something to learn from this, including an education for our President...perhaps an eye opener...

People have to let go and realize, we must stop trying to control...it is a priviledge and right to vote, but no one has the right to tell anyone which way to vote...and that means no clergyman.

Some of these issues we've faced has presented itself since the beginning of time...you cannot control people...but to understand and allow...looking at opinions in a mature way.

But if millions of people registered independent, still being allowed to vote for whomever they chose...think about the waves you'd cause both sides...they would no longer have the power they do...they've forgotten, "We pay their Salaries"  and they're getting away with way to much, ignoring vital issues.  Not one of us can win 100 % of the time, it's a give and take deal...but this way, we will remain divided, allowing propaganda and foolish bashing to interfer with the real issues at hand.

This country should be the strongest in the world...but it is declining...and we'd better all wake up and stop fighting each other, cuz this way, the news media, and big brother has a very strong grip...a country dysfunctional, is a people divided.

Tremendous write, and lots of thoughts to ponder here....

Its not about the parties...it's about uniting and working things out together.
No one's going to do it for us...believe me.
And no one has the right to dictate party

We've become a very corrupt nation, dishonest and the bad guy bullies...and we're just to far left or right to see through it...

But if we'd all register independent, both the media and government, would be turning head spins...hehehehhe, think about it...and each term, if they didn't straighten things out, we vote a new boy in, and if he doesn't do his job, we vote another new boy in....

It would be so easy, if we'd forget about the parties...and join together as one community...working together to accomplish goals...leaving this place better then when we found it.

I dunno...just thoughts your poem has triggered?

Whose to say?

Thank you for sharing
