From a silent prison colors brim
Gulping air bubbles in thick cool cream
Awakening quite vividly the texture of a dream
As God made me in the kinship of collage
Sliding in on sunshine yellow
Making light in dusk’s mirage

Finger paint upon my shoulder
Spills a frivolous magenta tag
Making happy faces on the points of peaks
Drop by drop a smile broken ivory leaks
Of dew drop blue
And feather weather round a few

Small impressions given lessons in Monet
Dollop fine upon the cheeks of moons parlay
Cool like spring upon the newly naked morn
Sapphire, squint and whistle sway
An evening gown of onyx
Pinks upon the tonics of adorn

Toes in paint pot dip
Each another color, through the spaces slip
Sticky knees to dry a shiny lullaby
Of green, a supple stroke along the small of back
And forth becomes its rainbow scheme
Cross-legged, the sienna hills again to gleam

A synonym to so proclaim
In speaking of the autumn rain

"Sliding in on sunshine yellow

Indeed, beautifully said....:-)

"Small impressions given lessons in Monet

Excellent, a poem in itself....
Love the way these lyrics roll off my tongue..

enjoyed muchly

Come read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling
And banish the thoughts of day.

Let's start with this line ... it reminds me that we indeed are never quite finished or complete as everything we do in life has a say in who we become.  (and in a collage we can glue something over the mistakes   ).
************

Cool like spring upon the newly naked morn
Sapphire, squint and whistle sway
An evening gown of onyx
Pinks upon the tonics of adorn

************

Now that is some heavy duty "beautiful" imagery and through a one of a kind eye as well.  Loved that whole verse and yes, very Monet.

I could keep on going, but the real point is that I am enthralled with rhyme scemes that capture the reader softly but tight enough to hold them and you always capture that cadence well.  You pull the reader in with unique visions and then you not only let them feel the poem, you allow them to be able to see and feel the brush stroke of your words.  Superb!!!

I'm not sure I have any more words to tell you how much I envy the beauty with which you write.  Exquisite!
