Far from where I am going

Under a stream of moonlight
and half lit stars
in a field of gray ambience
love was laid to rest

smothered by darkness
spewed from adulterous
and uncaring hearts
murdered by
numbed emotions
and malnourished souls

life has become lifeless
radiant ruby roses
a succulent sapphire sky
brilliant pinks and vuluptous violets
of sunsets
smothered under gray overtones
all color, all life is lost
only to be preserved
through ink
in words of never ending
descriptions and reverence
of what was and will never be again
for love has died

(written after over hearing conversations of intimate conquests where love was over looked. I hope you all enjoy. thanks for the spelling of malnourished)

nice use of muffin

Lost in thought

The first stanza and this
"of sunsets
smothered under gray overtones"
really got me. Excellent imagery. Painful, though, definitely a dulled and lonely ache. I like...

Always, Alyssa

He was a man of sorrows
...I am a girl of tears.
