Below Mercer’s lies the Blue
Where she in stone sided bed
Spreads her skirts to broader green
And slows a bit her pace

Once, I wrote of her.

“Those days were bright
with both the life inside of me
and the unforgiving sun that reddens bared flesh
too long left covered from winter’s pale”

Today I thought of other pale
And of eyes unaccustomed to exposure
As I traveled down the last steep slope
To end at Halyard’s
Where I planned to begin the journey
Down the stretch of her
I remembered filled with storms

“your eyes built clouds in me
that threatened to rain dark wet drops
on the dust inside, until you spoke
and I felt the stir of wind”

This season is unsettled
Yet I wanted to show you too
How it was when the lady blue moved you
On currents born deep under the hills

Always I knew there was a chance
It would wash over you
But leave you unchanged
Or that the weather would change

“Today” I began to write
“I found that what once was still haunts
the edges of this stream, but that it no longer
threatens to pull me under or leave me where
I can not breathe”

I turned
Another page of white
And thought of you

yeeessssss show us....

Poetry is emotion put into measure.
The emotion comes by nature ...
but the measure is acquired by art.

WOW! How do you do it? It's easy to get me with eyes, and you did make it look easy with how well it all came together. But no, nothing easy. The whole thing is just awesome. wow...

Darn, I want this in book form all there page by page, but you are going to make us fight for this, I can tell right?
