Could never imagine the dedication
a monument constructed at an infant stage
ready for the ultimate incarceration
gesture to dieties that held the heavens
and coursed the river of reeds
out to the land of Goshen
where Ramses ruled the Isrealites
yet there lies an even larger Cheops
another marvel to man's ingenuity
if it was man's
or something out of Star Gate
where a ship landed via its pyramidal gears
emitted the strangest of hums to human ears
perhaps to leave a giant beacon behind
and in it eternal secrets one could find

Definitely makes one think. I like that You do have a different style, which is very good.

and who said too much? I'd rather you and other poets exercise their right to reflect and think, you also have the right to question what's going to happen the next 4 years too!

I used to be fascinated as to what was here before me, how it got here, history...the story behind things, etc.

Now I suppose I'm getting old and I am not as curious
