you arrived at my shore long ago i felt you gentle beneath my feet with dip of toe sometimes grey sometimes blue you rolled out your tides i did not know what to say i did not know your name alone with your lines with the coverings of your moon the nakedness of foam i picked you up and measured you you wet the palm of me and swallowed me with your sudden breath to hold me like a storm Oh, you speak to me in riddles and you speak to me in rhymes My body aches to breathe your breath Your words keep me alive ~Sarah McLachlan~ [This message has been edited by Dark Angel (11-01-2004 06:15 AM).] |
