LIFE IS A TEAM SPORT

They put their hats on backwards
When they went to Victory Lane
Four teams of the Hendrick Family
Wearing a smile to hide the pain.

Jimmie said he rode with Angels
Who were part of some grander plans
And teardrops were shed by Drivers
The Crews and the Racing Fans.

It’s a bittersweet Victory
But maybe much needed relief
To help to ease the sorrow
After a week of pain and grief.

Another great loss for Racing
Though that’s the nature of the game
And like all those who have gone before
It’s been changed, to never be the same.

After twenty years in Motorsports
The Anniversary now to mourn
But little by little like today
The happy times will be reborn.

yes Abe,  it is very true, and you did a
superb job of paying tribute to them.
