Get out your best Irish accent and start your feet a tappin’ ……
To be sung to;
MacNamara’s Band
.
.
.

Oh, me name is Grumblin’ Cheney , I’m the leader of the scam
Although we’re few in numbers, we’ve control of all the land
We play at war, intelligence, and stubbornly we stand
It matters not that all of us once hid from Vietnam

Oh, the bombs go bang and the symbols hang and the warnings blaze away
O’Reilly pumps the telephone and the oil pipes away
Insanity Hannity tootles ‘n hoots, his excuses something grand!
A deficit that balances in Grumblin’ Cheney’s scam

We shocked and awed and told you  t’was star spangles in the air
We blew off Ol’ Bin Laden and said “Hey, look over there”
Not Saudis, North Koreans, Pakistan, but something grand!
The sanction starved Iraq we thought you’d take for Ol’ Iran

Oh, the bombs go bang and the symbols hang and the warnings blaze away
Michael Savage came from Hades with a venom sac to spray
Mush Limbaugh’s our Paul Bunyon and his Ox’s cotton too
A dab’ll do ya’ Wolfowitz, adds Zion to the stew

Oh, me name is Grumblin’ Cheney, I’m the leader of the scam
Smarmy are my answers to our Enron energy plan
St. John the Baptist Ashcroft  fans the bleating of the Klan
We claim a coward of a medalled man who served in Vietnam

Oh, the bombs go bang and the symbols hang and the warnings blaze away
Bubba Jeb’s an easy lay, whistlin’ Dixie while we prey
What record? We don’t need one, we’ll just scream about the Gays
Our world is all Orwellian, when it’s night it’s really day

Oh, me name is Grumblin’ Cheney, I’m the leader of the scam
Matters not that Halliburton took each American for several grand
Ronnie proved to us they’re sleepin’, Arnie proves they’ve dumbed down to
The point where they applaud at every stupid thing we do

Oh, the bombs go bang and the symbols hang and the warnings blaze away
The fleecing’s gone so smoothly you can’t hear the sheeple bray................

Smiling at your muse's gifts...  You never cease to impress me with your abilities.  May your voice be heard loud and clear and never be lost!

Again, good poetry....but it would be a nice gesture if you were to include an occasional fact. Facts aren't necessarily part of polemic verse, but they're a nice window dressing, and would probably have improved this one.

Gov. Jeb Bush wants you Floridians who get by the segregationists to vote to familiarize yourselves with your ballot.
