Long intervals of silence
weave incandescent cobwebs
upon the sleeves of my soul
as it Novembers
a frosty precision of silk light,
wingspans that divide
into Rorschach’s,
volumes and volumes
of inky rainshadows
and slender angels ariot,
disquiet among the anxious
ghosts of the heart
that depart the same as a bruise
would leave the body,
supplicant to the lure of flame,
one fierce and tender burning
of wings, through the membrane
of veined mist and smoke
and the fiery scripture of slurs
inscribed just beneath the tight,
infected drumskin
that pours forth its incurable heat
red beating red my blood,
shoved translucent
into a bent syringe
of glassy images that cringe
their thirsty candescence
into thought, obedient
only to this hunger
I raise
in voices full of blades
that fade hiltdeep
into my body,
lured by the same
fine madness
that in my fever
burns a hot, delirious
November in my soul.

"wingspans that divide
into Rorschach’s,"

this appeals to the "crazy" in me,

and the reference to bruise colors?

smiling wide

it always occurred to me that Autumn leaves matched the array of bruises...

*brava*

yet again

I read this last night at the witching hour, and then again this morning, and it remains breath tdaking no matter by which light it is read. Your talent is simply exquisite. You have a remarkable grasp of language and I would just like to applaud your talent. Bravo!

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

November, and you still manage to include your "drums", "flame" and "thirst".

Great reading!

Well can't wait until December gets in there too    Oh man, save us from Wranx when he sees these lines, I know the Yeti is gonna simply love these ones:

through the membrane
of veined mist and smoke
and the fiery scripture of slurs
inscribed just beneath the tight,
infected drumskin

Him and his drums!   Beautifully done but then we are growing to expect perfection attached to your name.  No pressure there right?
