Come inside, step into the
secluded carnival of me.
The freaks are all assembled,
just for you, sat just waiting.

Why not move to the hall
of mirrors? See reflections grotesquely
beautiful, distortedly real,
come out a completely different person.

The ghost train holds no
fears for me, everyday life
is a horror story.See the
small people juggling my ideas.

Clowns cry with loving hearts,
broken too many times.
Animals want to escape,
wont you help me set them free?

Round and round i spin,
the knives fly whistling past
my head, when will the knives
stop being thrown?

Falling from the high wire,
never a net below to catch
my fall, i just heal and climb
the ladder all over again.

The supreme happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved. (Victor Hugo.)

Phil, I felt falling with you, but thanks to the survival instinct we still will climb that ladder over and over again .... Every time more consciously, knowing that we can make a difference even in a world which too often seems in the grip of darkness.

Very good write.

Love, Margherita

it's the way of nature, flying all around us, taking us this way and that, yet, in the end, we come out with bigger hearts and hopefully, peaceful minds....

Great write Phil, very much enjoyed.

Good write took me back to years ago.

A little story if you dont mind.

Long time ago I was exiled to the Fairy Grotto in "Battersea Fun Fair" and in those days of Indian jewellery, I topped it off with a zipped tee shirt and lay by the waterfall when the punters were not around.

Our resident maintenance guy has very few teeth and white hair and we used UV for effects in the Grotto.

One day two girls came running out pursued by the guy shouting "it's alright".

The office was in a dummy volcano and he open the door, they saw the missing teeth and white hair in the UV and ran out screaming.

I shot off the Waterfall landing in front of them and they screamed and headed back into the Grotto to meet the guy shouting "it's alright".
