I would be the song you couldn't get out of your mind the one you sing under your breathe or hum in the shower until it drives you crazy if only you loved me. I would be the river you come to at the end of a hot summer day wanting only to rest in its cool caress and drift like the clouds overhead if only you loved me. I would be the rhythm your body sways to when you are alone and dance with a dream lover treading softer than a sigh in your mind if only you loved me. I would be the sweet scent of new mown grass and rain drenched roses that beg you to linger...linger...linger as day fades into night if only you loved me. I would be the morning breeze loving you awake with teasing kisses as the sun rises in a new day promising everything believing the promises if only you loved me. I would be If only you loved me. |
