A State of Lime

I stared into a sky of lime
That seemed to touch forever’s time
It passed beyond horizons frail
And beckoned me a phantoms trail

It picked me up a feathers breeze
Tossed me in a state of tease
Floated me a mental vie
Into the lime within the sky

I knew it was a fantasy
A moment of serenity
For I was held in gentle grace
A lullaby of mental space

And as I felt the wind of free
Surcease filled every trace of me
And brine dissolved a sea of fears
That washed away those nettle tears

Yet in that moment heaven sent
There came a twinge of discontent.

This brought back a tender memory Sy...
and isn't it amazing, that even when
we are at our most serene, there is always
a twinge of something else...

I guess that makes us human.

there you are, you stinker, I almost missed your words today, and I was a mess!

anyway, wiping off all my sytears....

You know, we always fear the unknown, or what we don't understand, until it's past
and then realize, there was nothing to fear at all.

or at least, those are the thoughts your words inspired this morn.

Thank you

Ah, yes. It be so true. Ofttimes there be sour with the sweet ~ but I happen to love limes!

With God as my witness, I have been sucking on one while at my computer. I rolled it back and forth on my desk and then punctured it (I think I heard it scream!!!)~ and then I squeezed its tartness into my sometimes overly sugar-coated mouth! lol
Lime

Life can often be a candy-coated lime! ~ Mind you, I prefer candied apples!

Sweet and sour kisses,
EA

I think we humans become upset when things are going to well...and do something to change it.  Why is that?  You got me thinking with this one, my friend.
