As the lights dim
Wondering in the dark
What might have been
And questions all too stark

Paint plastered, racks your face
Echo’s façade
As you ride the rail
To portray your nicer side

Plastique hair
Combed over teeth
Planted for the cameras
And newspapers beneath

In the evening bin
With the morning sun
A vote not collected, missed or begun
On a politician’s gums

But the editions have just passed
And the pollsters
On whatever
Blow you one last kiss

To the never, never
To darken their polls
Never again
Unless the news wants it, again and again

And they illuminate as a drunk
Leaning on a teapot
For support
Until the next stewpot

Who’ll pay their wages
And get the meaning
Of your phone number
To confirm they had some feeling

yes, yes, yes, definately know what you mean, and oft times wondered why we just don't turn off the telly when we don't like something?

Not to long ago, someone told me, that the stations know when you turn to another channel?

Another extremely well done poem by you sir...thank you for writing and caring as you do...your voice is a vision
