perishes into the petaled hours,
inclement and incorrigible
its stinging quips of flesh
stiffen among the white, indulgent
thorns of your absence,
tenuous as love
quickens out of the softest lips,
parted and dim
upon the syrinx, syllables
lay bare the tremulous heart,
rathe in its aurulent crescendo
of lean candles, hungry
in this silence, trachea
a shuddering sacrament of ivory
roses burning the silken limit
of my body congeals Matisse prisms
of white leopard, undulant bodies
enter limbs, a seamless fluency
in perishing rhythms, come hither
in the svelt and urgent cruelty
of the cobalt silences you give
my soul as it quivers
in its body of lazy jade, inclement
and lithe in its red herring veil
of roses, the color of flesh,
incorrigible, in your absence.
