Listening to every heart

She’s Still There

I thought she had followed my steps
there in the sand, back to
the loaner, but there she is,
still walking her shores,
still at home in sounds of yesterday,
with birds feeding
on her own surf songs
as mist filters through her rays

she’s still walking there,
between morning through evening tides,
sea grass circling her ankles,
salt clinging to her skin
sunlight glinting off her hair,
her voice a muted cry

Come home again

and I wonder if she will return
to the summer gone sun of Kansas
before the snow begins to kiss the last of the bluestem
before I miss her too much,
before winter tracks traces of time in footprints
and grayer skies kiss my brow

I am here, and she is there…
and I wonder if she is looking for a new
pair of hands to hold her warm, keep her safe,
allow her to be herself,

and I wonder if I shall ever write
without her, for she is enthusiasm and love,
smiles, and heartbeats, long pondering moments
of grace, and a certain chic
that I would borrow from time to time,
to allow myself
a smile.

I can only hope that we will meld again
some one day soon…
for the beaches lack shells now,
and the gulls will soon fly…

and I miss her so.

Jeez Karilea, this is stunning....sigh

it's a

Mxx

and I am haunted
by my illicit exquisite dream
but I can't really wake up
so I just drift in between

Karilea this is absolutely breathtaking.
And, if your muse has gone missing..
one would never ever know it!!
Write on dear sister of my heart.

See Lady...I knew she would return to you soon...if only for the moment....

but I KNOW she will be back to stay very very soon...

she's still just enjoying the sounds of the surf and the feel of the sand....

beautiful write Lady....

museless??  I think NOT!

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

Karilea

She was here...she gave me her own handwritten words...and then left me to write my own.  She is with you...just giving you time to assimilate....that's just what mine does, and it drives me crazy.  Just look what beauty you can write without her, anyway!

Karilea,

When your Muse returns, may I borrow her stand-in?

Hugs!

The cries of longing are the loudest when they are the softest.  Beautiful expression.  KJ

Oh..I get it...
its a trick poem...an illusion...
its a find the hidden muse poetic puzzle...
OH I FOUND IT!!
RIGHT THERE IN YOUR PEN....
silly silly sun...as if your muse would ever leave you....
read your own words...proof positive..

she hasnt gone anywhere without you.....

Ink runs from the corners of my mouth.
There is no happiness like mine ...
I've been eating poetry.
