The Mirror of Your Eyes

‘Tis right for poet or artist’s eye
That takes up what love belies
What we discern in all reality
Is but conceived by one's fantasy

Do see then with heart's spirit blithe
Those words shared as hear it light
Sung of souls met, this song sublime
Gives one cause to come in time

Would with thee we inhabit such delight
If I eyed thee so in candle’s light
To mirror me your pleasure just
That thee see now, reflected trust

Now Sire, seek these eyes of green
Thy trust I have, this, a love’s dream
This one heart holds thy passion’s flame
All of which abides, in reality’s name

O do please share with me twinklings
Of thy spirits that roam in your dreams
