Lush, humane self pity

Nightingale’s slight pretension

Plays with my mind

Harrowing tender mercies

I can see your promises under glass

Accepting the assault as retribution for philanthropy

Catapulting triumphs, long sunny afternoons

Tibetan fingers adrift in co-evolution

Not to undo what gushed from your tongue

Intimately ripping fabric beyond shame

Like stretch marks that don’t believe

Accepting drinks from a maker of substance

Forgetting the pill, behind closed bars

Out on the street after dark

With hands held out, asking

“Have you ever given money away?”

You answer with that lustful wolf’s head smile

‘Willingly!”

Loosing pieces of myself and personal integrity

Thinking life’s purpose as a family business

Bizarre! I opened the door and fear stepped in!

You knew my alarm of heights!

But, you still signed the guest book with a bogus name?

Wow LeeJ, the imagery..sigh.

it's a

Mxx

and I am haunted
by my illicit exquisite dream
but I can't really wake up
so I just drift in between

Lee

I read some comments earlier and someone said the poet are on a roll.

This must make you taking out the valleys, trees and re-adjusting mountains.

I do acknowledge as we all do that there is an organised mechanism here for promoting friends to be in the top 25, but can I suggest you be a little more subtle when you work on lowering talent out of those 25.

The poem on Butterfly should give you a clue.

This wasn't you LeeJ

This was, I felt a moderator pumping friends poems earlier and your poem with the quality and it's low level rammed down to me that we write on quality not who we know.
