Moss may grow on the north side of tree, But it cannot grow under the feet of me, For I am forever moving here and there Traveling about everywhere. But I do find time for quiet reflection, And pray in church in genuflection. But then I am off to see the world. ~ Each day a new leaf to be unfurled. My blood does flow like sap in tree, Coursing through the flesh of me. I brim with life from sky and land, ~ Nurtured by God’s loving Hand. Each day provides blessings for me, Chances to learn, and grow ~ and be. And the hardest lessons along the way, Were eased whenever I would pray. When by myself, I am never alone, For God has been with me as I have grown. And with His angels close by my side, I ebb and flow with life's ocean tide.
