Daena

You will never
see her again,

the woman for whom
you opened a door,

yet she will stroll the streets
on which you live,
sit close beside you in any car.

She will matter
more than all the others
you'll ever know.
Years will pass
and she'll be there,

because in those eyes
you saw her smile,

because for a moment
she made you whole.
