I'd Trade It All By Larry Chadwick For Toerag If I could have a penny, Per joke that he has told; I wouldn’t have to work, Until I grew so very old. If I could have a nickel, Per smile he has sewn; Then I could retire, And only write my poems. If I could have a dime, For every chuckle he inspired; Then I wouldn’t care, If my boss said, “You’re fired!” If I could have a quarter, For every time I read his work; Then I could tell the manager, That I think he is a jerk! If I could have fifty cents, Every time I saw his name; I could quit my job, Nothing would be the same. If I could have a dollar, Every time I said a prayer for Toe; Then I’d be doing well, I’d be rolling in the doe. If I could have ten bucks, Per response his writing gets; I wouldn’t travel in my car, I’d be flying in the jets. If I could have twenty bucks, For each corny thing he does; I’d steal his name from him, Then you could call me buzz. But if I could have a hundred bucks, For each friend that he has made; I’d give it all to Toe, ‘Cause he is worth the trade! If I could have a thousand bucks, For everytime he's made me mad; I'd be broke for sure, And that would make him glad. I love ya’ man! Ever since I have been here, toe has made me smile, even when I was so sad. He has responded to alot of my poems, especially the silly ones. (For a hormonal teenager I am) He makes me feal normal. Love you toe. Juju |
