"Among the stones
Lie fragments of Michaels wings
and the shards, broken as they were,
From the scythe of He who walks
behind us "

Here, her edges lie
  And I am touched deeply
By the way her skin lays smooth
In this grey day

Such calm that belies the current
Not seen by those who can not see
Where ripple form slow vees
Disarms
     Yet…

I have walked her lengths
And stepped into depths to drown

She spoke to me once
When the stars were high
And I sat staring at the dark face of stone
Which flanked her bed
And the words were liquid
  That leaked into me
Till Owl called
                        Searching for his mate

And I shook
Suddenly too old and too cold
To understand the lines

Only to sleep with her haunt
And the stories trees whispered to me
As they in blush knew
I too had seen her naked

These strands of stony shore call
With glittering pieces of broken wings
And I
                Can not find them all

Ron

You get a sigh from me with this one too.  Very touching, my friend!

Your words fall as gracefully down the page as if they were feathers from the wings of an angel.

I've strolled this beach,
remembered seeking wings
just out of reach
and tripping o'er
pebbles of time
lost in rhyme
without reason
and yet,
I would still
wander this way again
given the opportunity.

Perhaps they are like answers to questions that don't yet exist?

hmmmmmmmmmmm...

a thing of beauty that you've done here.

Hair
A deep and haunting poem....The message and images are intensely felt, you can feel the scene, a cold foggy day, the mist and gist  of it chills the brain and the skin....well done, poet sir...

Ahhhhhh yes, this is one image filled piece with plenty of emote and explore to pull the reader in.  Absolutely a superb write and a true pleasure to read.  I do believe I will have to save this one in my library.

you are not supposed to find all the pieces, not yet Ron.

This is beyond beauty . . .

I had read this before...

but this morning when coming to work
under a full moon in the west,
and two brilliant stars in the east...

I thought of this poem
and wanted to say
thank you.
