Walking on the road to nowhere, Finding out that nowhere never comes. Treading softly on the path of desolation, This path of my choosing… The sunlight fades and I’m lost in darkness, This darkness so deep, it swallows me whole. A drop of sweat drips down my spine, As I try to claw my way out of this pit. Wounded from those reckless words, That you keep screaming in my mind. You stare me down & it tears me down. It takes me & breaks me until – I can’t breathe...I just can’t breathe… Forever gone from my sight, My love for you has died. My heart has cleared away the debris, That you left in your wake. WOUNDED from those reckless words, That you keep SCREAMINGin my mind. You stare me down & it tears me down.
