The veils have lifted that misted my view, From seeing the love that flowed out of you. For I was too closed to be open and free, To accept your heart's offer that now cannot be. You folded your hand and laid down your cards, I wish I had known of your loving regards. Time has a way of revealing the truth, As age adds the wisdom that is lacking in youth. I now look at life through my heart and my soul, ~ My mind and my body weren't the sum of my whole. I'd been blind to the love being offered to me, ~ My eyes were wide open but I just didn't see. The veils have lifted that misted my view, From seeing the love that flowed out of you. For I was too closed to be open and free, To accept your heart's offer that now cannot be. |

I recently had a chance re-connection with a voice from the distant past and was literally blown away when he told me how he has loved me all these years! If I had only known that back then! ~ Mind you, my life has been played out the way it was supposed to have and I wouldn't change where it has lead me!  Thank you for your warm reply.
