Searching, I can hear the ways of flocks
Baggy shirt tails hanging out
Loose little maids, in each of them
Close together…but…
Not to close, as to bump each other~
Flying in V’s like geese
Meeting panic, whispering beauty
With obscene language

Course-minded, footloose hobos
Blending, uneventful plots
Or so it seems?
Looking this way and that
Like slap-stick jesters
Selling the extreme image
Hipsters and midriffs

Shooting heroine into the minds of quick and easy
Dependents of, soaked little towns fatigued
Each of them, scratching into history
Advertising survival instincts
Selling masks on EBay

Jaded boards with impeccable form
Carrying a financial planner of suffrage
Investing in Eros
Joining with vision care coverage
Playing hopscotch with children

While…..

Sprawling porches, flicker candle eyes focused
On some great white wicker chair
Rocking, rocking
Connecting artful passions flared
Like the angry nostril of a horse
Coasting…through hallucinations fair haired
Chewing the lower lips of fat grey-haired men
Raising sugar beets in silence & fear

Purring light-fingered little stones
Glistening like sleek fresh oils
Tucking field-harvested options
Into daybreak at the end of time
But….
Waiting, like a chemistry class
On muscle building mission
Watching riverbanks,
Plunge toward the breasts of oceans
Traveling like pilgrims, in occupied boats

Flattering the cleavage of motherhood
Where she gossips bout fine looking deals
While watching Dr. Phil
Her fairy-tale lifts itself into moaning hearts
Working round the clock
Laying naked beneath church steeples
Writing a to-do list with a safety net of rulers

Just as well, undertones, dare to hope
The reverend will speak soon
With split lips, and tufts of patchy scabs
In admirable precise courage and form

I inquire, “Are you the man I’m looking for”?
He smiles that, putting things together smile
Answering softly with melodic thought
“My two hands cover pride
Underneath all the rust, I imagine
Fine-looking feme soles, comes with the deal?”

I smile catching his secret code
With a baseball mitt
Looking deep into his eyes &
Opening a creaky door that breaths a perky sigh
Responding softy, “Come on In
We’ve been repairing violins”
He smiles, enters while mumbling
“Funny, what a woman inspires?”
While handing me a miniature alabaster of
The Pieta

Yes LeeJ...
Do write the novel, and put me on the list.
You have a rich dialogue in every write you post, and it reveals a spirit that is as beautiful as it is elegant.
