So many colors blend their shapes
Drift their changing hood and capes
Sifting through dried contemplates
Or radiant frock and shimmer drapes

As brittle as their offering moans
Some supple fainting deeper tones
Whirled and carried by the wind
Trimmed lost, of frost to oblivion

Recluse of tune these thoughts abound
Some higher mind to solid ground
The most and least to now be found
Upon the winds of change resound

From time to time a gathered few
Remind my heart that I once knew
For certain where this path led to
Yet as they fall the all review

New eyes revise the platitudes
That once a fence now rendezvous
The lively state of flutter by
Again revised in my minds eye

Sets a personality of it's own.  I have read this a few times and what I like the most about it is that it could be talking about the woods in fall, it could be talking about a person going through changes in her/his life or the contemplation of one about different events and people in their life.  I may be reading way too much into it but that is what struck me.  Words have various meanings and sometimes I tend to look at each one before I do the jigsaw.  Either way, I very much enjoyed this and the images especially in the first verse were a treat.

I agree also... You touch a little of everything with this and leave the reader thinking, and rereading to make sure nothing is missed.

Kathy, your rhyming sway moves the heart with crisp and engaging ease.
