The Bee of My Mind

My thoughts flee from here to there
Like a bee in search what flowers bare
But the nectar is of rancid waste
And fills me with a bitter taste

I know that life has prison me
Upon horizons endless sea
Capturing my youth of thought
Infecting them what past has wrought?

And I am bias in my store
From here until forevermore
And cannot change the taste of time
From biter brine and sour lime

I carry me the rue of gone
And know not why that I was born
This flesh and bone for maggots feed
And yet these maggots have their need

I give you toast to endless space
Which is our home and only base?

Aw Sy,
Thoughts to ponder for my day! Thank you sir...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Strong poem in-between shadows and light.
Such a delight to be able to stop by and read your poetry

OMG, the Bee of your mind just put a bee in my halo's bonnet!

I think you need to join me in a meadow and sip some really fine nectar. ~ No more "bitter brine and sour lime" for you!

Mr. T., carry not the rue of yesterdays gone ~ but look for the light of each morrow's sun. I may not be there with you in the flesh, but I am there with you in spirit.

Angel love and kisses,
EA

Mornin', Sy

Sounds like brand "X" nectar. Stick with the tea and biscuits.

Just some passing thoughts and they do pass.

Larry,
Not to ponder it's a waste and bitter taste. LOL

choshi,
The delight is mine, thank you.

Earth Angel,
You know when you get on, your taste is not as sharp. That and everything else. LOL
But I would sip nectar with you any day.

Sy, may your nectar always be sweet and
never bitter upon your lips.  For this you
certainly deserve and shall have.
