I wish I could crumble,
folding into life...
Where black meets white,
and you meet me.
The dead alive
and living free.

If you will,
then come back home.
It's hard surviving here
alone.

Time can stop,
I swear, you'll see.
I promise.
Please.
Return to me.

~~~
(The living grieve
so deeply,
and eternity
is much too far away.)
He was a man of sorrows
...I am a girl of tears.
grief is so powerful
it could consume
but when you hope
of eternity
then you become
grief's conqueror
Aw dear Alyssa,
Alas the pain...it hurts so much. Peace and courage as eternity will come, even if not soon enough. Excellent write.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
Alyssa, I wish there were never a need for grieving for any man, woman or child ~ but there is ~ and we do. If I could, I'd erase all sadness and pain ~ and loss! ~ on this planet of ours.
I send you love and a loving warm embrace.
Your words were very expressive and moving and I felt them deeply. God bless you, Dear One!
I know this feeling...the ache, the pain of losing someone.
Sending heart hugs your way.
grieving itself is a part of healing.. they say..
they say a lot. don't they?
but.. I hope that similar to all the other they sayings.. it comes true..
Alyssa,
   This went straight to my heart (and incidently, my library).   You shoot striaight forward with your thoughts and emotions.  In doing so, they come out so gently and flowing.  Your poetry is beautiful, Lady.
        luv and hugs,
           cathy
Yes Allysa,  I too hope you find peace in
your heart...even though grieving is a part
of life we sometimes need.
Notes from the Other Side
I divested myself of despair
and fear when I came here.
Now there is no more catching
one’s own eye in the mirror,
there are no bad books, no plastic,
no insurance premiums, and of course
no illness.  Contrition
does not exist, nor gnashing
of teeth.  No one howls as the first
clod of earth hits the casket.
The poor we no longer have with us.
Our calm hearts strike only the hour,
and God, as promised, proves
to be mercy clothed in light.
I'm sorry everyone, if any of you even see this, for the late reply. I wanted this time to pass so much that I never got done what I wanted to, like replying! Anyway...
J.Samm,
I'm not sure, really, if anything can conquor grief. I mean, hope of eternity is great, and it can help you make it through, but it still seems to shake into the marrow of the bones. But maybe I need to work on my hope. Thanks for your reply
Sunshine,
thank you   I'm sure it will come eventually. I wish peace for you, too...
Always, Alyssa
EA,
I wish that, too. I imagine the world might be an even worse place then it is now if that happened, though. Grieving gives compassion, but yeah, mostly it gives pain. Thank you for your gentle, generous words. God bless you, too...
choshi,
if only they had a choice... Thank you for reading and replying.
muted,
I wish we didn't all have to hurt there, or that somehow by reaching that place it could be healed and made better. Oh well. I wish the best for you, thank you for your reply...
Enchantress,
I wish you didn't have to know it. But yes, it's a painful, painful ache. Hugs back to you, and thank you...
Sue,
I'll always admire yours as well. You certainly know how to compliment. Thank you...
Pepper,
yeah, that do say alot. And unfortunately some things never heal. It's like when you lose a limb, a part of you is always missing, you still have those phantom pains, but you just learn to survive. Learn to write with your left hand or walk with a cane. It's never all better, though. Thanks for you kind wishes and reply
Barry,
this year was a little better then last, and last was a little better then the one before. It still hurts as bad, bu with time you learn to compensate by crying alone, I guess. I do, anyway. I hope for peace and all the best for you, too. And thank you
John,
I do, so much, wish to be there... I'm glad that's where she is. Thank you for offering those words.
