* * *

My buddha statue sits serenely
High above the purple flowers
He is the keeper of my garden
A place I spend so many hours

The doves and sparrows come to visit
They search for food on the lawn
I hear new signs of life
From baby birds just born

A blackbird takes a bath
Before he takes to the skies
So much activity in my garden
A veritable feast for the eyes

In my private Garden of Eden
Amongst nature I'm at one
As this day is almost over
I catch the last few rays of sun

As the shadows start to lengthen
And the birds take wing in flight
I'll stay and watch the stars
As they introduce the night

* * *

It is Springtime here in Melbourne, Australia
and I wrote this yesterday while sitting
out in my beloved garden.I hope you enjoy.

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Sue,  this is a beautiful poem.  I envy you
for all that you have there right now.  I
doubt I could have painted it nearly as
well as you have.  Thanx!!

Sue, this is beautiful. How I wish I was sitting there with you. We could be having tea and admiring your lovely garden.

Sue,
I need a garden like that! Lovely...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

That sounds like a wonderful garden and you bring the magic of spring to us in every verse.  Loved the images and the sounds bursting in the birth of new life.  Now let's hear about the night of stars that followed.

I want a home "down under"
For whither do I wander
When Fall comes North each year
I love the spring, you know,
Each tulip makes me glow,
But now I shed a tear.

Great photo and poem.  I'm so envious!  Thank you for reminding me of the season's eternal cycle.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light
