We have laughed heartily as tears fell freely, as time carried their echo into those hours of wee and dark. We have sighed repeatedly, inhaling a deep breath to bring back the soul from some distant cavern of time, where friends often discover they are never alone. We have pained and pondered, wished and wandered endlessly. Hoping that a day might come where a smile is seen, felt and wrapped in a silk scarf for another day, perhaps when rains fall. We have held out a warm hand, wishing simply to let fingertips touch ever lightly as a spark of compassion and caring courses into our hearts. Thank you for the touch of your smile, the tremor of your voice, the gift of your mind and all that you have shared and given freely as only a friend can and will..... I wish not to ever have it any other way....do you? |
