Between the Lines

Wynter Friends

and when the whispers come
to make the smiles appear
a rhythm comes to join my rhymes
for two of us to share

the rain delays but cannot hold
my altered state of mind
for you are there to pick me up
the you between the line

the secrets shift, the winds of change
across the miles of know
etchings in the sound of words
to rain a colored bow

to smile that smile from out within
a season timed just right
from there to here and here to there
to warm a lonely night

inspired thoughts in silent hold
no fingertips to touch
instead the air awakes from sleep
the feelings lost of such

releasing ties that twist too tight
emotions overdrawn
in their place, disguised in love
of friendship, come each dawn

This is the smile I needed tonight...
the knowing that you are not
totally alone...that when you reach out?
Others reach back...
it's the way of friends, dear girl...
and you have befriended many...

because it's in your heart to do so...

this was my smile this evening...

oh by the way?

Where's my doll?

This is so pretty, Maureen. I love the
way it sounds when it's read out loud.

M(issy)B(lissy)~
This is an awesome penning~

'the secrets shift, the winds of change
across the miles of know
etchings in the sound of words
to rain a colored bow'

"to rain a colored bow" ... a line to wish for~

How lovely word-lovely you are this day~

We must have been listening to the call for the winds of change at the same time.
