The most puzzling question known to human-kind,
Is obviously one, not kept in our mind.
As I sit here and ponder the mysteries of life,
One question irks and is not easily sufficed,
What rhymes with orange?
I could make up words to add to Webster's,
But none I'm sure they would prefer.
From interchange and rearrange to exchange and the strange,
Many are spelled the same, yet none can claim a rhyming name.
A fruit and color, orange describes, only fruit and color it identifies.
With the stars above and the sea below, those can have a rhyming flow,
Yet, nothing rhymes with orange, it can only glow.

Well the closest I have ever come up with is "Acorns".  Not a perfect rhyme by far, but it does at times work, but then again, I tend to make up my own rules. LOL  Loved the read and about time someone wrote one to address this question.  Of course you realize there will be some sleepless nites by poets tonight trying to come up with an answer.

Love the write. What rhymes with orange? Nothing...the best we can do is the imperfect rhyme. Same spelling...different sound as you pointed out Tequilia_Sunrise. I like the poem though. It was a great read and it actually made me pull up my rhyming dictionary to make sure there wasn't a true rhyme for orange. I thought your assumption had been correct all along though. Thanks for making me think about it though.

Other none-rhyming words, you clever girl, are considered to be:

Purple
Pint
Nothing  [always thought something did... ]
Silver
Month
as well as your colorful Orange

Through my brain
I search and forage
For a word that
Rhymes with orange
In my soup and
In my porridge
Not a single
Speck of orange

That's a tough one
He he  I liked this

How about:  "door hinge" or "binge" or "fringe" or or "cringe" or "syringe"?

I've thought about this one for years and that's the closest I can assess...  It's cool to see someone else has noticed this phenomenon as well -- kind of freaks you out like when, for a moment, you become conscious about BLINKING...

What about "forange" ~ foraging on the range! Oh, that's not really a word! I just made it up ~ something I often do! lol

Cute write ~ and got me to racking my brains! But, sorry, no know! lol
