I couldn't have gotten this far in life if I was on my own
There's just too much to deal with--I can't do it alone
God is the one Who's given me the gifts I have today
The One Who brings me comfort and guides me on my way.
And God, we all need Your help whether we think so or not
For only You can give us the things that we have sought.
One comfort that I need, Lord, is not for my own sake
But for another that I know whose heart does now ache.
It hurts to see him hurt, and he does not know where to turn
He doesn't know how to give himself the comfort for which he does yearn.
All I can do is pray for him sometime throughout my day
That he will have the strength he needs to face what comes his way.
And I know he's not my child, Lord, so there's not much I can do
But You care for him more than I ever could, and so I give him to You
And although he may not be mine to give, I know he needs You now
In Your hands is the best place for him, because You'll help him somehow.
You will bring him comfort, Lord, the only one who can is You
Help him to put his trust in you and have faith strong and true.

So you go and make it happen

Besides this being the most absolute touching hymn I have read in a very long time, it worked. This just comforted me, I needed this today . . .
I truly did.
It is beautiful, just beautiful . . .

And God, we all need Your help whether we think so or not
