{Emerald carpet-- that green
deep jade along the mire}

We should share the quiet
when the sky is blue
and oceans mirror back  white
clouds glow orange
as far as the eyes can see

You speak of butterflies,
how they bleed color
          fluttering in the horizon
shimmering gold tones
of xanadu--
of some other occasion
when once the world
was still

   Rearrange the shadows with me
between flowers & fragments of sun
the windows will share   shades  of green

even after rain--

You the seed,       darkened by desire
inside early flesh of midnight
in stillness remain     realm of light
upon the waters surface
as I await --

respirez cet air my
toile foncée -- verdissez ce vert

manière d'observation de coupure de nuit pour
lune

~~*~~ (french lines)
(breathe this air    my
dark canvas-- green

watching  night break -way for the
moon)

Thank you Mark B for such inspiration

This is so beautiful, Lauren.
It was like - it left a pang in my chest.

and the language . . . *smile*

I loved this right away, amazing lines, wish I had written them:

Just amazing . . .

Incredible... as usual, your work astounds me and fills me with a warmth I can't describe. I worship your poetry..

I don't know what I did to inspire such a beauty of a poem, but I do know that this is one beautifully serene piece laced with your awesome talent for imagery and in a style that you own yourself.  I very much enjoyed this and if one of my poems inspired this, then that serves as a reason I do write.  Sometimes even my scribble lands somewhere.  Awesome write.
