I knew you knew, that which drove me away,
far into the universe, bouncing off stars.  Remembering
the moment that your comet collided with my sun
and darkness covered my soul.

Remembering a day when butterflies had not sprung
forth, when birds ruffled their winter feathers and
a fire crackled lazily behind us....as you cried.

Thinking of moments when lips touched lightly and
the scent of you drowned me,   washed over my
soul and cast stardust to the four corners of earth.

I still feel your hair within my hands, slipping softly
as would cool water through fingers, till the last
drop pools beneath me, mingling with my own
tears, tears of joy...

For joy came to us on dove’s wings, soaring higher
than clouds of cotton and gold.  Sliding down a
rainbow, jumping onto a roller coaster of lust
and desire.

I won’t forget you, you are part of me.   A part of
me that will die with me and wither as will my
bones in the cold hard earth.  For though you
have said Ciao with your eyes, and my smile
struggles to answer....you will never leave the
memories I hold at night....or the dreams that
feed me generously...feverishly...each moment
I sleep.

Oh my Barry - my, oh, my - beautiful, sad, loving, lost - makes one wish to reach a hand out in compassion and soothe the ache -

Very moving, Dear Sir-

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

I know this well, you have my chin all crumpled up over here.

Ah, but did you know that I knew what you know what she knew?!?

If only more men in this world had a soul as poetically beautiful as yours...
