i used to walk down your street
just to see if your light was on
i would stare up at the little window with the blue curtains
and i would cry as if the world had ended
in the winter i would bring you a cup of coffee
and leave it outside your front door
knowing it would never be drank
knowing it was a waste of warmth

my eyes still sting
from years of crying
with every thought that entered my head
i don't know where you are
or if your happy and safe
but your grave feels cold to me
and your not gone
my mind replays your kisses like a dream
maybe you were never real
i was asleep

but the coffee on your porch is cold
and you're not home
the blue curtains remain blue
as if i had doused them in my tears.

Chelsea, this is gut wrenchingly painful....
very well done.

This is very sad.  Your thoughts were expressed very well here.  I hope that you will soon find a friend to share your warm cup of coffee with.
