Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-10-18 11:38 PM

In Quiet Light, Lingering

When morning mists begin to dissipate,
there are still sounds of pounding, as
blue-gray mounds shift high
touching air

you are morning;

you are mourning.

Cast me shadows of light, and dark,
and find them fade in pounding sounds,
heartbeats filter over
eardrums
as seabirds gawk my mind,

and somewhere footsteps have remained,
perhaps on higher ground,
though moon grew full after I went missing; likely,
as not, gone now are my steps
of return…

~*~

In the advent of me to other sighs
my gaze is cast upon
nighttime skies
where close the stars come to crown
those who walk in night;
under stars and nighttime cries
of pounding sounds in mourning.

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

So very beautiful..
For I moment I wished I could fall into the picture.
I could linger there all day.
What a special write from a special lady.
Hugs~

I find both regret and joy, but so beautifully written.  KJ
